The Jobspan Web Scheduling System was originally written to work with a Management Information System called Keren II. This package produced by ISYS plc is a management system for the printing, packaging and paper inductries. In this environment Jobspan take jobs created by the Keren software, within an Oracle database, and enables them to be scheduled and tracked.
As well as the initial job data being picked up from Keren, subsequent progress information is also picked up, from the same tables to provide the tracking information.
