Jobspan Web Scheduling System
Technology Used
The Jobspan Web Scheduling System is written using JavaScript, and Java Server Pages with associated TAG libraries written in Java. Access to the SQL database is via a JDBC interface within the Java Tag libraries.
The system has been tested using an Oracle Web Server (Apache), and its embedded JSP technology, connected to an Oracle 9i database on both HP Unix and Linux hosts. It has also been run using Tomcat to provide Java Servlet and JavaServer Pages technologies, connecting to Personal Oracle on a Windows 2000 Server.
The system requires Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6.0 or better. But places no other requirements on the PCs being used.
